Castile Soap - Everything You Need To Know
What is Castile Soap?
Castile soap is a very efficient and versatile soap made from vegetable oils.It exists in different forms, liquid and solid (in bars). It contains no animal fats or synthetic ingredients. It is therefore very suitable in various natural care products or as a general household product.
WHERE DOES CASTILLE SOAP COME FROM?
Castile soap has a rich history and takes us back to the 11th century where it was first made in Aleppo in Syria. The Crusaders came into contact with this soap, and initially imitated it unsuccessfully in Europe.
Who did successfully imitate this soap was the town of Castile, in Spain, from which Castile soap owes its name. The soap subsequently became so popular that via Spanish royalties in 1500 the soap found its way to England.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CASTILLE SOAP AND NORMAL SOAP?
Traditional soaps often use animal fats, whereas castile soap consists of vegetable fats, making it a vegan alternative.
Secondly, many commercial soaps contain chemical ingredients while castile soap is 100% natural. This makes it a perfect alternative to use in all your care products and/or household products. Last but not least, it is also a friendly product for your wallet ;).
WHAT MAKES CASTILLE SOAP SO A GOOD PRODUCT?
Castile soap has become a real hype in recent years. It is a 100% perfect alternative for anyone who wants to use an animal-friendly, good and ethical product.
We understand the hype around castile soap. It is an ecological product that is at least as efficient as the most conventional soaps.
Because it consists 100% entirely of vegetable fats as opposed to animal fats like many commercial soaps, it is not only an ecologically interesting product, but also a much safer product due to the absence of chemical ingredients.
Castile soap is therefore a more suitable alternative for people with small children or pets.
