What is bentonite clay?

Recipes to use Bentonite clay

• As a natural face mask: Mix bentonite clay with rose water, castor oil, almond oil and a few drops of lavender oil. Do not add too much bentonite clay, so that the mixture still remains a liquid, thick paste that you can easily spread over your face or body. Let the mask dry for 20 minutes and then rinse it off with lukewarm water. You can use this mask 1 or 2 times a week for best results.

• As an alternative to baby powder: Apply a small amount of bentonite clay directly to irritated baby's skin, leave it on for a few minutes, before rinsing it off with lukewarm water.Always test a very small amount first to make sure that no allergic reaction occurs 

• As a hair mask: In a bottle or bag, combine half a bag of bentonite clay with 6 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, 1 tablespoon of coconut oil, half a tablespoon of castor oil, half a tablespoon of almond oil, and a tablespoon of water. Mix the mixture, and apply to damp hair, leave for 20 minutes, and rinse with a natural shampoo.

• To reduce inflammation. Add half a bag of bentonite clay to your bath.

• As a natural mouth wash. Gargle with bentonite clay (food grade) diluted with some water for 30 to 60 seconds. Spit out the clay again, don't swallow it, then gargle with water again to clean your mouth.
